Mustad was the first Norwegian company with production in Asia – in Singapore in 1972.
The Mustad hook separator clears hooks and lines quickly and efficiently from the mainline and conveys them onto storage magazines. The hook separator operates synchronous with the line hauler and conveys the line from the hauler to the storage magazines. The mainline is pulled around a pulley/sheave while the hooks are picked up by a rail that guides them onto a magazine where damaged hooks can be straightened or replaced. Hooks and lines are then conveyed onto storage magazines.
