SP1000 hook separator

The main function of the SP1000 hook separator unit is to pick up the hooks and guide them onto the storage magazines. This is done automatically and consistently as the gear is hauled onboard. A secondary function is that the unit is also a slack taker keeping even tension on the gear coming from the main hauler.

Twist remover

The SP1000 can also be delivered with a high pressure water pump and accessories, which will give the additional functions of Twist Remover and Gear Cleaner.

Up to 111 m/min

The hook separator can operate efficiently at up to 111 m/min and thereby allow the vessel to haul back more gear per day, which is important with regard to the working environment and increased profits.

Both EZ and circle hooks

The SP1000 is designed for EZ hooks and circle hooks. It uses magnets, placed in a specially designed pattern, to guide the hooks onto one of the two hook catcher blates. The hook catching principle is highly efficient, and has no moving parts. Maintenance is minimal. The SP1000 is made from solid salt-water resistant aluminium with sheaves in composite material. The pressure wheel is spring loaded. A special hook guide design reduces wear on hooks and gear and ensures an efficient racking result.
